* Mantra of things as they are sometimes
"site-specific installation _
Mantra of things as they are sometimes _ is a composition of sound-objects, sculptures, moving images and forms projected on linen canvas. Acoustically treated, the sound piece amplifies the dynamic and spectral signatures of the sounds captured on a daily basis, directing the listener towards a "language of things" _ through its work on texture and rhythm, the image produced in collaboration with the filmmaker documentarist Zou Yang @yinvchushi suggests the primitiveness of the vibratory expression of Nature, its states and its transformations.
By its relation to space, and its very manifestation, mantra of things as they are sometimes evokes the subsymbolic process of consciousness in its work of encoding and decoding environnemental phenomena engaging the idea of reading in a wider semiotic field beyond its sole symbolic modulation (human language)
the book written specifically for the event, silently deciphered during the performance(including operations initiated by the author live _ remotely) _ feverishly tries to fix this thought_ by alternating various means of layout, at the same time linear, spatial and concrete. it is edited by @blackmasspublishing _and is presented throughout their 'Study Hall' until 18 April for ‘Greater New York’ exposition at MoMaPS1."

“Mantra of things as they are sometimes”
Video aspect ratio 9/16, projected on a linen fabric 150cm x 300cm.
It’s a representation of the vertical and vital movement of water, stalactites, ice, floating stone, and primitive writing. These pictures interact with natural sunlight in the exhibition space, projecting a spiritual experience of circular transformation when we are watching, listening, and reading.
"Like mantras that activate a particular individual's Self, through these specific rituals, one's concentration or better expression-interest is brought back to the inner divine realm, back to the source and destination of the human psyche, this process involves the unity of life and consciousness.”
In the interaction of sound, the video creates a window of encounter between the language of things, the picture is the phantom of sound, which leads us into the state of "trance" of the listener.
This video was made as a part of collaborative site-specific installation/performance project with composer Allan Gilbert Balon, for Blackmass Publishing(@blackmasspublishing), represented in the exhibition “Greater New York” in February 2022 at MoMA Ps1 (MoMA past events).
